Changes
I decided that the constant changing of color was a hindrance and made the piece look ugly so I went back and made everything share a palette to make the piece blend in more together and not be an eye sore whilst watching it.

I feel this gives the piece a more polished and more visually pleasing look, I have gone for blue/violet throughout as I feel this color is a very diverse color and is pleasing on the eye.

Background images for sting
I decided to make some background images for the Sky Arts Sting to add some dynamism to the piece.
I made this using lens flares of varying sizes and opacity to give off the illusion of depth.. I used grain noise to make far off stars on the horizon and in the nebula and to make the nebula I wanted it to seem randomized so I made a cloud texture and colored it in with a rainbow gradient.

Furthering the idea
To further the idea I am going to experiment first with the colors. Originally I had planned to have the whole scene rendered in light blue colors to give a mesmerizing/calming effect on the viewer.. I feel I can get a different effect from the viewer by using different colors. But I still want them to be light and vibrant so the colors I am looking at using are.
Red
Red

And Yellow
I was also feeling like having pictures of art idols coming in and out of focus using 3D layers, more on that later.
Another idea I had was to have a moving nebula in the background of the animation.
