Changes
I decided that the constant changing of color was a hindrance and made the piece look ugly so I went back and made everything share a palette to make the piece blend in more together and not be an eye sore whilst watching it.

I feel this gives the piece a more polished and more visually pleasing look, I have gone for blue/violet throughout as I feel this color is a very diverse color and is pleasing on the eye.

Background images for sting
I decided to make some background images for the Sky Arts Sting to add some dynamism to the piece.
I made this using lens flares of varying sizes and opacity to give off the illusion of depth.. I used grain noise to make far off stars on the horizon and in the nebula and to make the nebula I wanted it to seem randomized so I made a cloud texture and colored it in with a rainbow gradient.

Furthering the idea
To further the idea I am going to experiment first with the colors. Originally I had planned to have the whole scene rendered in light blue colors to give a mesmerizing/calming effect on the viewer.. I feel I can get a different effect from the viewer by using different colors. But I still want them to be light and vibrant so the colors I am looking at using are.
Red
Red

And Yellow
I was also feeling like having pictures of art idols coming in and out of focus using 3D layers, more on that later.
Another idea I had was to have a moving nebula in the background of the animation.

Making it
I made it in After Effects which has become one of my favorite programs, I wanted to keep it minimalist so I didn't make any irrelevant visuals to take the viewers focus away from the logo.
I started of with the idea I would split all the layers by one frame to make an effect where they would all seem to move by their own will.
Unfortunately this did not work so I set about making my original vision with multiple layers of different animations happening instead, I kept everything a blue color as I had originally planned I hoped this would catch the viewers attention but also be easy on the eye.
I decided to use the ball effect in after effects to make it look as if stars were forming the ARTS logo. I felt this made the effect I was going for quite well. I also did the same effects on a blue solid on a different layer to give the piece more atmosphere and so it didn't look too bland.
At the end I used a shatter effects to make it look as if the logo had exploded into the intergalactic atmosphere to form other materials I felt this also gave me the effects I was looking for in the piece.
I put a twist on the ARTS lgoo when it formed from the balls to give the look of a dna helix before the entire ARTS logo formed at 12 seconds I felt this gave a very dynamic effect, it wasn't exactly what I was looking for but I thought it fit the animation very well so may tweak it a bit but mght keep it like that.
To add some space atmosphere I added a feathered purple solid to the bottom by masking it I felt this made the entire piece more atmospheric and far less bland than it originally was going to be.
And here is what I ended up with. Originally I wasn't going to go for this song, but I felt it fitted the piece more than the others and now I feel it fits it very well.

First Idea
For my first idea I decided to go with making something that would seem set in space or at least have a intergalactic feel to it. I decided beforehand the main color of the piece would be blue. I felt this would be a very soft color on the eyes and would not make it an eye sore with needless visual pollution.
I wanted the ARTS logo to be created by the stars as if space itself is art and then it to turn into a shape like a dna helix to show art is all in all life before showing the ARTS logo at 12 seconds.
Before exploding like a universe forming at the end.
